Leviathan

Kurai's demon form. Finally got around to putting out a good design for it. He's a shadow dragon, a sub-species of dragon in the world of my characters, of the water element. Normally shadow dragons are of jet black color, but he's a rare instance. Only every several generations of water element'd dragons become leviathans. Instead of a compact, sleek, and bipedial body, they become more like serpents.

His wings can double for both short bursts of flight as well as swimming. He's also a bit clumsy on land too because of his form. Often times he has to support himself with those two smaller arms in the front and either slither or push with the fins along his torso to move.

Took me forever to do the line art and color this one.. mostly because I've never drawn anything with a smooth texture as that of an underwater creature.
