Doppelganger

Another scene from Vessels, the RP that EV and I are doing together.

No, this isn't Oni. As the story progressed, a mysterious twin of the prince of Orin appeared one day and began making a bad name of him through murderous acts. No one could reason to believe it was anyone else but the prince. The motive goes beyond just ruining Oni's reputation, though.

Kuu, or "Faker" as his original alias, is a bioweapon made by Kaishi. He happens to be apart of the same system Daaken is made of. As such, his model number is #170. After making Lilrai, #169, Kaishi created a spear with no blade. He deemed it trash and had Lilrai throw it to the burners. What he didn't account for was that the weapon he created was highly susceptible to the environment around it, and a small amount of DNA left behind on Oni's notes was caught up on the weapon, resulting in a replica of the prince. By all means, this weapon thinks and lives as if he was Oni, and seeks to destroy the prince because he ironically thinks he's an imposter. This weapon is mentally unstable to say the least, but then again, neither is Oni.

For this scene, the story has continued some, and the Faker has endured some harsh damage. Now that he can be seen as an individual compared to Oni, he has taken up the name "Kuu" by recommendation of the goddess Lyss. His injuries destroyed the cosmetic skin that covers most bioweapons to smooth their appearance, revealing his true underskin. Though, the demented weapon believes his injuries are a chemical mutation, and not a revelation of his true self.

Behind him, coming from his mana pack, are three prehensile projections with venomous tips. Each sack contains a venom that composes the base of White Serum, a drug used by the Orin empire to rally soldiers to fight to the death. In pure form, it's a powerful adrenergic neurotoxin, elevating heart rates and blood pressures until the victim goes into shock. The background setting is inside the hull of #000, the last bioweapon Kaishi obtained. It is a massive airship, and Kuu is currently hiding out inside of it.
